Privacy Policy

Your comparisons stay on your device. HomeRank has no accounts, and we don't store your homes, scores or photos on our servers. We count visits with privacy-friendly analytics that set no cookies. We don't sell your data or show ads.

Everything you enter into a comparison is saved in your browser's local storage on the device you're using. That includes homes, addresses, prices, photos, criteria, weights and scores. It isn't uploaded to HomeRank, so we can't see it, and it doesn't sync to your other devices.

To delete it, delete the comparison in HomeRank, or clear this site's data in your browser settings. Clearing site data removes every comparison permanently, and we can't recover it.

When you type into a home's Address field, the text you type is sent through our server to Geoapify, which returns matching addresses. Only the typed text is sent, not the rest of your comparison. To save lookups, our hosting provider may keep a copy of the suggestions for a typed search for up to a day. If you don't want an address looked up, don't pick a suggestion: type a short label like “Blue house on Elm” instead.

We use Umamito understand how HomeRank is used. Umami sets no cookies and doesn't track you across other websites. It records:

• Page views, with the page, the referring site, your browser, operating system, device type and country.
• Product events, such as when a comparison is created, which setup step is shown, and when a ranking is first viewed.

Nothing about your homes, addresses or scores is sent to Umami. If you block its script, HomeRank works the same.

HomeRank is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify processes your requests to serve the site and may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and request times, for security and reliability.

• We don't sell or rent your data.
• We don't show ads or use advertising trackers.
• We don't ask for your name, email or payment details.

HomeRank is meant for adults buying a home. It isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

If HomeRank starts collecting something new, for example when we add accounts, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
